Well Luc, not to put words into Skookumchuk's mouth. But I would suppose his intent was to point out that the historical record may need correction, or, at the least, to provide further evidence in support of past suppositions.
And actually, the pointing out of mistakes in certain circumstance can be considering as praise, or, a sign of freedom in that mistakes can be truly pointed out without fear of retribution.
Of course I might also ask what was the intent of your comment. Was it to imbue a negative or positive point. Did you have a particular intent in voicing your opinion?
I'm not sure what you're getting at. The linked story is about a computer-aided analysis that confirms Armstrong's contention that he said "...one small step for a man", not "one small step for man".
What a confusing thread. Well considering the hassle Bush had to go through just to remove a tyrant from power who had tried to kill a president and shot at our planes...I doubt if carpet bombing Pakistan was something Bush could have done.
Democracy is such a bother. Being a King would be so much less complicated.
I must apologize for misreading the original post by Skookumchuk as I did not notice that the “a” was a link. Consequently my comment is in error and is withdrawn. Sorry for the unnecessary waste of bandwidth.
Well then, in the spirit of harmony, I retract my comment as well. I did see the 'a', and consequently saw luc's comment as somewhat negative, when there was no need for it. Apologies.
Do you think your post will have a positive or negative impact on the moon walk?
ReplyDeleteGenerally, it is hard to interpret the pointing out of mistakes as a sign of praise so the question: What is your intent of your post?

What's the mistake?
Well, whether he did or did not, at least HE TRIED.
ReplyDeleteHe tried, and that's more than this administration, or all the neocons can say.
He tried, damnit!
Doug, what are you talking about?
