We have had 2050 soldiers die there. About 1600 of them have been lost in battle.

We have about 150,000 troops total in the field. So if we stay in Iraq for another 227 years the terrorists might actually manage to destroy our military, if we fail to reinforce.

In the last 33 months, the Iraqis have held elections and written a constitution as well as begun rebuilding their country's infrastructure.

They are opening schools, electing local governments and opening newspapers and TV stations and are about to have another election in a few weeks.

But all is lost and we are losing and there is no hope.

If all it takes to beat the US and destroy Iraq is a thousand suicide bombers then the world really is in trouble. We are all lost.

The Democrats are making headway convincing the public that the real way to guage success or failure in Iraq is not to look at the progress in Iraq but to look at casualty numbers. That is all a lot of people see, and of course the elections tend to mean an uptake in those numbers.

This in turn lets our enemy know how we can and will be beaten. It is a clear signal to them: kill our troops and we will run away.terryehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16609746018265953069noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16821859.post-1132778668699805032005-11-23T13:44:00.000-07:002005-11-23T13:44:00.000-07:00It's really not too bad.
