In the black death they lost almost half the population to disease. <BR/><BR/>So goes their history. In truth Joan of Arc was thought to be a messenger of God sent to save France in her darkest hour. And maybe she did. France has had many dark hours and she is still there.<BR/><BR/><BR/> It should be remembered that the Franks stopped the invading Muslims in 792 and they just might do it again.<BR/><BR/>I don't think all the best and brightest are leaving France. I am sure that even as people leave, there are just as many determined to stay.
