Anyway, some kids played a joke once at a road crossing where one sign pointed East to Blacksmith Fork Canyon, another pointed West to Hyrum, and the third pointed down the road to Paradise. The kids added a fourth sign pointing into the ground and labeled Hell.

Heh, that was as good as the old sign on the highway announcing the Balling Motel. Pronounced *bailing*, I'll have you know. Family name. The sign made Playboy.chuckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15164145672293455823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16821859.post-1161471521690667112006-10-21T16:58:00.000-06:002006-10-21T16:58:00.000-06:00What is the point in telling her? I know a lot of ...What is the point in telling her? I know a lot of people like that, they just pretend their national leadership does not exist.

Gale was telling me that a farmer he has known all his life who lives on the Monroe/Greene county line was told that he could no longer water his cattle in the creek.

This is the just the kind of lame brained crap that drives rural voters insane. Do these people think that the wildlife out there is potty trained?

They just can not leave anyone the hell alone.terryehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16609746018265953069noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16821859.post-1161470196590293432006-10-21T16:36:00.000-06:002006-10-21T16:36:00.000-06:00Back to when they could think they mattered. Life ...Back to when they could think they mattered. Life without hope or purpose is a terrible thing.

Makes me *really* want the Republicans to win. I want to see what these nutcases do then. And trust me, if they take to the streets it isn't going to help them in the country at large.

BTW, a nice Democratic lady came by this morning running for state representative. Made a point to tell me right at the start that she was profamily and all. I laughed, and said it's hard to run as a Democrat these days, isn't it. Told her I used to be a Democrat but left the party a few years ago. She assured me that many were switching to the Democrats this election. Ha, she needs a wider circle of acquaintance. Anyway, profamily turns out to means she gets to tell me what Utah families want: all the Democratic slogans, funded by the state. No specifics.

Now, I don't mind a little community planning to preserve farm and pasture in the lowlands, or maybe some easements here and there, but she had no definite proposals for where and what. This isn't going to fly, the only time I have seen these issues rouse the voters is when specific proposals and parcels of land were on the table. That gets everybody's attention. Generalities don't cut it. And it isn't like there aren't things to think about, the towns here are growing like crazy and merging together.

Anyway, seemed like a nice, liberal lady, involved in the community and raising goats in the south end of the valley. I didn't bother to tell her I thought the national party insane and didn't want to encourage them.chuckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15164145672293455823noreply@blogger.com
