Could be that actually firing the thing makes a difference, but I'll have somebody who knows look it over.chuckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15164145672293455823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16821859.post-56470747257082288212007-12-02T22:53:00.000-07:002007-12-02T22:53:00.000-07:00damn good tip, skook. rimfire is just that way som...damn good tip, skook. rimfire is just that way sometimes--not as positive a fire as centerfire.buddy larsenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17760847873026506988noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16821859.post-6417161390590781972007-12-02T21:45:00.000-07:002007-12-02T21:45:00.000-07:00Call Federal anyway. What could happen in these cases is a "squib", in which a partially burned cartridge develops just enough force to push the bullet halfway down the barrel, where it lodges tight, only to be impacted by the next bullet, which usually causes the barrel to rip in half with catastrophic results.

It could be the ammo, or could be the fact that the firing pin on your Buckmark is causing light primer strikes, in other words, causing incomplete ignition. Possible, but not probable. Federal should be told about it and the Browning should be taken to a smith ASAP.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16821859.post-43291700738648169042007-12-02T19:58:00.000-07:002007-12-02T19:58:00.000-07:00Hi, skook,There's a thought. There was probably something wrong with the powder, either quantity or quality.chuckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15164145672293455823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16821859.post-75223801324497885752007-12-02T17:09:00.000-07:002007-12-02T17:09:00.000-07:00Call Federal and give them the lot number on the b...Call Federal and give them the lot number on the box.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
