Small News Item Circa 2011
(Entertainment Weekly) Washington, DC. TV spkoesperson and model Valerie Plame filed for divorce from her husband, former Ambassador in the George H. W. Bush Administration, Joe Wilson. Ms. Plame cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce. Anonymous sources suggest that former Ambassador Wilson became envious of his wife's popularity and high profile appearances. Many Hollywood insiders, unaware that Ms. Plame was even married, referred to Amb. Wilson as "the covert hubby". Mr. Wilson is remembered for his controversial television appearances associated with his brief stint as the campaign manager for the ultimately failed presidential campaign of Connecticut businessman Ned Lamont. Algore broadcasting announced that Ms. Plame would be the lead correspondent for the network's forthcoming documentary about worker response to recent cooling trends in the climate, titled, Get Out From Behind the Desk. Amb. Wilson is said to be exploring offers to write opinion columns for the Washington Post.
