Sources close to the White House said Monday that Fox anchor Tony Snow is likely to accept the job as White House press secretary, succeeding Scott McClellan.
I think it would be better to toss a few vipers in rather than a polecat. You'd want to irritate them a bit first to avoid any professional courtesy being extended.

And the press corps is more like a preschool than a snake pit. Snakes are more dignified than that.

ReplyDeleteTony Snow has always exhibited good humor and sharp intellect along with one of the more pleasant manners on television news.
Those qualities are more necessary than ever for the WH press secretary.

Fox has just announced that it will be made official tomorrow morning.

I think Terrye has it. These people can't intimidate Tony, he already knows where the bodies are buried; and they can't out-talk him.
