Reminds me of the story about J.S. Mill who, if IRCC, was taught by his father to become fluent in Greek and Latin by age 3.
I have a poor memory, at least in certain areas, like people's names - even sometimes with people who are very close to me i can have temporary blank outs - which holds me back in certain ways (thank God for Google and the web); but one compensates in others so that one is not incapable at certain intellectual tasks.
Who knows what many processes genius is composed of... no doubt training is often required - how to distinguish from self training? - but I doubt that just any brain can be taught two classical languages by age 3.
