The other day a pileated woodpecker dropped by for a visit. It was clinging to the side of my house, eyeballing me through the window. I was surprised it let me slide away, get a camera and come back to snap a photo of it.

Visit from a pileated woodpecker
The other day a pileated woodpecker dropped by for a visit. It was clinging to the side of my house, eyeballing me through the window. I was surprised it let me slide away, get a camera and come back to snap a photo of it.
