But Who Pays?

Tuesday, October 28, 2008
Obama has called for people to take off work on election day to vote. Are people to be paid for not working or are they supposed to forego a day's wages during an economic crisis? I'm not sure if the campaign has answered that question. It sure says something though.

Maybe we should just rename November to Obama to mark the ascension and spend the first week celebrating while politicians ride around throwing out hundred dollar bills.

Greetings from Djibouti. The good news is I'm coming home in Obama,er, I mean November.

At the mess hall, they have two wide-screen TVs on the walls. One shows mostly news. The tables are half empty. The other TV shows mainly sports. And the tables are packed.

Luckily, I voted via absentee ballot. We'll see if Seattle deigns to count those from FPO addresses...
