Above is an illustration from a patent of a device that does something. Frankly, I'm not sure I want to know what that something is. Regardless, it seems like another source of air might be preferable. I wonder if this thing ever got marketed?

For you shut-ins that is a Toilet Snorkel (honest, look it up) as opposed to a Toilet Bong, which to my knowledge has not been invented yet.
I stand corrected, there are toilet bongs. I looked them up.
By God -- it is called a toilet snorkel. You're supposed to use it in case of a fire to find air to breath.
