Who would have guessed there are so many Seneca the Youngers out there.

I'm told I don't exist. Zero loners.

Stupid computer!

You beat me Knuck, there's 8 of me out there. But I bet I may be the only white guy. I have no idea why but Luther is a fairly popular name among Black's. This was true even before Dr. King made a name for himself. Though there were 38000+ Luther's, I have never met one. Condolences re your Deaniac.

Geez. Loner is in WA and wants to shop in OR. The problem will be the drive - people from CA find drivers in OR and WA to be... "different", I guess is the kindest term. Loner is used to LA, where the best drivers in the US consider 85 to be the minimal speed necessary for keeping up with traffic.

I'm wondering what he's going to wind up paying in fines up north there. Road revenue is very important in WA - as are writing quotas for state troopers. And they very unsportingly (IMO) actually use radar and planes.

It says there is one of me (I'm special), but I know that to be wrong, because I have googled myself and there's another Barry Dauphin living in Louisiana (state of my birth).

Eh?

I'm getting used to 55. What a ridiculous speed. My experience in PA helps. I thought most of the drivers I encountered in Chester County insane when I first got there. I suppose I went insane, too. No accidents and one speeding ticket (a week before I left) in three-plus years. I think a deer hit me one morning, but, if it did, it didn't leave a discernable dent.

I hope not to do any commute driving while here. That'll help—or make me stir crazy.

It's always something.

Wrong show.

What?

Take off, you hoser.

Knucklehead—

That's only the half of it. On the highways they're overly cautious and on the backroads they take no prisoners. There was a lot of growth (residential and commercial) and consequently more stop-and-go driving along said backroads as time went on.

Now that I think about it, I don't remember a single instance in which I had cause to have a negative opinion of New Jersey drivers and I was in NJ quite often during the last year or so I lived in PA.

My wife, who's from PA, hated Southern California driving. She was very happy when she finally had a job that didn't require she use the freeways. We went into Portland on Sunday and while we were on the 5 (the west coast equivalent of the 95) coming back she thanked me for agreeing to move up here. Maybe it was the scenery. Yeah, right.
