France's Royal warns of violence if Sarkozy wins

Progressives are always lovely and magnaminous in defeat. I wonder if Team Clinton has been helping her out? Probably not, Royal is a red diaper socialist and doesn't need any help with "by any means possible" tactics.

While Sark is no conservative it will be interesting to see how he deals with the unions and immigrants. He's strongly against the 35 hour loaf week so there should be some outstanding strikes this summer and fall when (or if) he actually tries to get rid of it. Between that, Airbusted and the immigrant problem he's going to have his hands full.

I hope he's up to it.

She's desperate, I suspect.

That was my impression, too, but she is correct in that they do have a history of going bananas at stressful times.

"they do have a history of going bananas at stressful times."

Like when they hear the word "work"?

I can't figure out if she was trying for a little voter intimidation, making a vague threat about the future or egging the French muslims on to come out of the banlieus on Sunday.

I also wonder if that polling spread will affect Socialist turnout - why bother if your candidate is going to be hammered anyway? There us no "down ticket", is there?

It is a vague threat about the future. They have distrusted capitalism and competition for all of living memory.

From what I've read she didn't do well in their debate. Sarko apparently got a bump from it.

Her campaign manager is Ward Chruchill.

None of the MSM is particularly optimistic that this last ditch rant will improve her stock.

Apparently she is down by 10 points (55-45) and the question is being asked whether she will lose in a landslide.
