Ayatollah Boroujerdi Revolts - Calls for Uprising

Sunday, October 08, 2006
News from Iran is getting more interesting. Boroujerdi seems akin to Sistani in his desire to divide the mosque from the state. Reuters has a brief piece up and Radio Free Europe has a piece with some depth.

It ain't exactly Paul Revere and Thomas Paine but the downside is just a dead ayatollah. We might as well wish him good luck.

BTW - Don't look for coverage from the dictator bootlicking Mediacrats or their foreign allies to be any better than that thin Reuter's piece - there's access to protect. Just as there is in Thailand, where the truth about the coup is kept carefully in the background.

I have reason to believe Ledeen doesn't believe this story is true.
