Apparently, from 1968-1973 NASA used to run a beauty pageant to select Miss NASA from its workforce. Unfortunately there appears to be no information about them, just pictures of a few of the winners. From

"And first up in the talent competition of the pageant Miss JPL will perform advanced slide rule calculation to the accompaniment of Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumble Bee."
Obviously no one in NASA ever thought that Dr. Who would be coming to America.
Now, thanks to Miss NASA, 1968- we know how NASA got to the moon first.
