Doing it for "the Children"

How wonderful of the UN to put out a kiddie book to explain all the evils of global warming. Tore and the Town on Thin Ice will probably set new standards for Child fiction.....ummmm...nonfiction....right? Well, let's let the blurb say it all:
Tore and the Town on Thin Ice is part of the Tunza Environmental Series for Children sponsored by the United Nations Environment Programme. Tore is a child character who seeks solutions to global warming, an environmental problem that tangibly affects his community.

Now don't you feel better. T minus one day to Groundhog day....ummm.....WG1. Been there, done that.

The world just gets loopier every day.

I suppose anything is possible but I really doubt if the UN is going to get the job of handling the money for some big ass global warming ponzi scheme where countries with money pay off third world dictators via the UN to keep their people living in grass huts so that China and Europe don't have to change their habits. I can just imagine how that would work out.

A new report says that global warming is "very likely" man made. Now that is science. via AJ.

Well, we'll be in for a nice media ride for a few years. At least Y2K had an expiration date. No matter what the weather is like next year, it won't be enough evidence to convince the warmers of anything.

The 10 year time span for us "to do" something about this gives Baby Boomers time for one last hurrah.

Here is the link to the 1975 Newsweek report about the coming ice age.

"Very likely"? Wasn't this a certainty? So now it's downgraded to "very likely"?

In 10 years they'll call it off, and tell us, "Well, we only said it was a 'remote possibility.'"

I just don't see how you people could be against children and the planet. Where is your heart?

Where is your heart?

If your hear was left in San Francisco, I hope it's not with the mayor.

WG1 Warble Gloaming?

Buddy,

Look at that poor skinny polar bear. Those dogs are going to get away and that kids not much more than a snack.

Where are your priorities man?

The report is perfectly timed! Next week our temperatures in the NE are expected to be 15-20 degrees BELOW normal.

re the book, same 'ol same 'ol, the world is a zoo. Look at the nice multi-cultural exhibits! We must not change a thing!
