Update: Robots Battle In Desert, Four Survive. All Report "Too Tired For Passionate Robotic Sex"

OK, everything beyond the period in that title is pure fiction.

But it is amazing that this year four robotic vehicles completed this extremely difficult course.

The winner not yet officially announced, however:

...it looks like the Stanford University Racing Team with the Volkswagen Touareg Stanley has won.

The amazing thing is that four autonomous vehicles have finished the 132 miles desert course. What a contrast to last year's Grand Challenge, where no robot car came close to finish the course.
