Penn & Teller put the issue in a whole new light. You just gotta see the petition to ban water being signed. This is a seriously funny/serious, high production value (for the genre), piece of work. Really.
By that definition, pretty much *all* the virgins have been sacrificed. I think the Sun is looking for something more personal.
Speaking of which, ever notice how the Achaians were always burning the fat and bones for the Gods, then eating the good stuff. Those old Gods were maybe not so bright. No doubt they would be happy to accept your offerings.
I'm a little tweaked about this. I've spent some time working on understanding the idiotic Gaia watermelon catechism and I'm not too thrilled about beginning again with Amon-Ra.
