Why, that's exactly what the French--remember them? somewhat soapless, used to have a country in central Europe?--have been complaining about--American "cultural imperialism"...as if, heh heh, there's anything 'cultural' about our empire....

Cultural Imperialism?!?

Imperialism implies that we try to go out and conquer the minds of Chinese kids. The hell we do? We're just having a good time, and they are too. One thing about America is we have really figured out how to have a good time, and so, everyone else wants to join in.

Ain't nothin' wrong wit dat.

I am married to an Asian immigrant. Many in her family and community are obsessed with Karaoke. Believe me, it is hilarious.

I guess you just have to be there.

By the way, they know it's hilarious too. Well, most do, anyway.

This video is hilarious. I laughed out loud at their facial expressions and choreography. And I think they had a lot of fun making it. I wonder how many takes they took.

These guys go by the moniker "Two Chinese Boys" elsewhere (like youtube.com). They are hilarious and addictive. Check out their version of Liu Ruo Ying's cover of Canadian David Usher's Black Black Heart (http://www.youtube.com/?v=YlCKgFZeku0).
I think they are a kick, and I've needed a laugh this week!
