However, I may be a counter-example.

Ertha Kitt.

Did I spell her name right?

Scientists now believe that people of mixed race, particularly Eurasians, possess certain genetic advantages that lead to greater health and, as a result, increased attractiveness.

And people wonder why scientists are regarded with increasing contempt.

That would account for those breathtaking Slavic/Mongolian Russian women--but not for the low national fecundity and longevity rates.

Politics trumps nature, for awhile, here and there?

Buddy,

Absolutely right. The mental/spiritual side of humanity constantly trumps the physical/nature/genetic side. Why else would so many young Muslim men and women seek to blow themselves up?

Flenser,

I agree with your point. The statement is just plain stupid.

But where does the stupidity lie? Lookee here, I've been a scientist and I "think" no such thing as asserted. The way that Science is portrayed in the MSM is the problem: it is beneath contempt. It presents Science as a unified front, the latest pronouncement from the "New Vatican". Nothing could be further from the truth.

Eartha, I think, Terrye.

Flenser, MHA, WTF? There's a fair bit of research in the last several years that suggests humans make "attractiveness" choices in part in ways that increase genetic diversity. What's stupid about the statement? (See, eg, Thornhikll et al..)

Buddy, I suspect those Russian women are just as fecund as anyone once they get out of Russia.

There is the "F-1" in livestock (and, we humans play the same rules), that is the 'first crossbreed' of two lines, that results in strong animals possessed of 'hybrid vigor" as it is called.

The American Melting Pot is one giant experiment in proving the observation.

I think the most attractive crossbreeds involve fairies and elves...I love the ears.
