This picture, from the Daily Mail is pretty cool -- nice sunspot and all.

Now, have a look at the close-up. That's no sunspot.

While we're on the subject of awesome

Stumbled across this today. I should give a 'ht' but that brain cell expired approx. 1053 hrs.

The cloud MHA posted a while back is in this grouping.

Chuck: That takes me back to playing in the alley out back with Dad's big magnifying glass. Ah, those hot LA summers...

Luther: Thanks for the links. Good stuff. Once in a while, you'll see a good lenticular over Mt. Rainier.

Apologies for getting sillysophical on a 'light' thread. But what an illustrative and bright divider between those who would live in the 7th century and those who wish to move forward. Those who see death as the ultimate glory and those who see futuristic life as a path not to be denied. Sad, in a way, that after four thousand years or so, we are where we are.

Skook

I used to see a good one over Mt. Hood on occasion. Not too many now in the desert southwest :-)
