With Voinovich back on the reservation Dodd's only got Chihuahuas for the "bruising attack". Interesting use of a third stringer though.

Nice chance to get another "test" vote out of some of the Dem moderates. Murray and Menendez in particular.

Senator Chris Dodd is merely throwing some crap at the fan. He will likely shut up immediately if Bolton’s favorable polling numbers are over 55%. Any attempt to weaken our UN ambassador’s influence, however, during these dangerous times places Americans in greater danger. Dodd’s politically expedient behavior once again reminds us that Democrats cannot be trusted with foreign policy issues. The nation’s minority party seems utterly incapable of knowing when to stop at the water’s edge.

It would seem that they don't even know there is a river there.
This seems to stem from a dangerous insularity,a belief that who rules America is the only important issue, that somehow, international teror and nuclear armed rogue states are secondary to political ambition.
Tehrans interests are so coincidental to those of the Democrats rhetoric, the Mullahs will be sending contributions.

Philosophical contributions, for certain.

I think today, Dodd has been lured into the Senate cloakroom by fellow Dems and his tongue cut out.
That will be the only "bruising fight" that the Bolton renomination will engender.

Your mouth to God's ears.

Chris Dodd has one of the more annoying characteristics of John Kerry, Joe Biden, Howard Dean and Teddy Kennedy; The love of the sound of his own voice.

On the other hand, John Bolton shares a common quality with another great UN Ambassador, Daniel Patrick Moynihan; a biting outspokenness.

I also doubt that Dodd will be able to deliver on this bit of theatrics.
