Airlifts using C-130 helicopters, the largest in the US military, whisked the wounded to local hospitals.
I've seen a video of a C-130 landing on a carrier but the helicopter version is new to me. Whoa, bet the military wants more of those. The whole story.

Chuck, have you seen the new helicopter Abrams tank?

Buddy,

I've seen the VTOL Abrams A6 but never the helicopter one. Once they got the C-130 helicopter into service I think they dropped the Abrams helicopter project which was, after all, only in the prototype phase. It was promising but redundant now that armored, H/A-130 gunships ("The Scorpian") are being delivered.

Buddy, Chuck:

I understand as part of their remilitarization effort, the Japanese Navy is building a helicopter Yamato.

I'm just sure there is a wonderfully apposite Mencken quote.
