I may not be Miss Congenialty

BUT I am Pollyanna compared to this enraged little moonbat:

SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. -- In the angry life of Maryscott O'Connor, the rage begins as soon as she opens her eyes and realizes that her president is still George W. Bush. The sun has yet to rise and her family is asleep, but no matter; as soon as the realization kicks in, O'Connor, 37, is out of bed and heading toward her computer.

Out there, awaiting her building fury: the Angry Left, where O'Connor's reputation is as one of the angriest of all. "One long, sustained scream" is how she describes the writing she does for various Web logs, as she wonders what she should scream about this day.

Maryscott O'Connor says her liberal Web log, My Left Wing, is "one long, sustained scream."

David Finkel of the The Washington Post writes about the deranged online left in an article entitled The Left, Online and Outraged.

She smokes a cigarette. Should it be about Bush, whom she considers "malevolent," a "sociopath" and "the Antichrist"? She smokes another cigarette. Should it be about Vice President Cheney, whom she thinks of as "Satan," or about Karl Rove, "the devil"? Should it be about the "evil" Republican Party, or the "weaselly, capitulating, self-aggrandizing, self-serving" Democrats, or the Catholic Church, for which she says "I have a special place in my heart . . . a burning, sizzling, putrescent place where the guilty suffer the tortures of the damned"?

Read it all because this is only the beginning. I love the comments included in the article, they give real insight into mass hatred. The author made no attempt to hide the blind, mindnumbing hatred of this sad woman and her compadres.

This should be a lesson to the rest of us that Dubai, immigration, earmarks, Dubai Ports, etc are small potatoes compared to what is really out there. So whether or not Bush posted the Mohammed cartoons on the White House web page or whatever your current pet peeve might be, we can not let people like this get anywhere near the White House.

There are a few on the right that are worrisome as well...but for sheer drooling eyeball rolling obscenity we have to give it to the left.

I am not talking about people acting really stupid or anything, the people in the blog world who have damaged Bush or cost him support have not been raving maniacs, they have been talented people like Michelle Malkin or Johnson at LGF who have no problem whatsoever undermining Bush when he fails to do what they want him to do, about anything....Dubai ports, the cartoons, etc.

I don't expect blind loyalty, but some of these guys like Andrew Sullivan can be really nasty when they switch sides. Sometimes it is a double edged sword.

The little phrase that keeps running through my mind these days is "...hang separately." Folks seem to think that their pet peeve is absolutely the most important thing and will brook no difference. So they don't hang together. Now what will happen when they need to deal with something *really* important? Where will they get help? Nowhere! They will all hang separately.

And now I've read the article. I like the way David Finkel blames O'Connor's rage on the right:

Not that long ago, it was the right that was angry and the left that was, at least comparatively, polite. But after years of being the targets of inflammatory rhetoric, not only from fringe groups but also from such mainstream conservative politicians as Newt Gingrich, the left has gone on the attack.

Yeah, right. The radical left has always been consumed with hatred and rage, it is their most defining characteristic. The ideology of the left is a malleable thing that can be adjusted to serve the deep need to hate somebody.

Back in the 60's I thought it a tossup as to which of the radical left and the radical religious right would be more dangerous. I felt I would be compelled take up arms if either showed promise of taking over the country. Well, these days the radical left is ascendent in the danger department. God forbid these folks gain access to real power.

Finkel did a good job on article but I also disagreed with blaming the Left's rage on the right, besides look at the lady. Whose picture is beside her computer? The father she did not know because he died in Viet Nam. The left as been enraged for a long long time, rage is what keeps them alive.
