This is one of his best, and I regard him generally as in the top three or four writers in political matters.

I'd add only one thing: When people tape together cigar boxes and head off across shark infested waters to reach places like Pakistan, I'll give a damn about what Pakistanis reportedly think of America. Until then I don't care.
