AP medical writer helps us understand:
Experts believe there is a mix of reasons: a decline in contraceptive use, a drop in access to abortion, poor education and poverty.
Yep. Folks who have children are either poor, uneducated, too stupid to use contraceptives, or unable to find an abortion. There you have it. Oh, and some folks just like children for cultural reasons. This may be the case with the backward cultures of the Hispanics and middle Americans. A few people even think an increase in the birth rate might be a good thing. But they are mistaken.
But the higher fertility rate isn't all good. Last month, the CDC reported that America's teen birth rate rose for the first time in 15 years.
I blame Bush.

Good catch Chuck. The ol' reliable AP, always around and willing to help us understand the world. What would we do without them...
I should be jaded by that type of writing but I am yet continually amazed at their clever, or not so much, propaganda.
If people stopped having kids, who would there be for Hillary to campaign for?
My wife and I adopted five daughters. The first came after 10years of childless marriage. We liked children. Saint Bertie is an RN and I'm a trial lawyer (neither easy professions) so this did take some commitment in love, time and money.
Believe me, though, it was no accident, nor was it a disappointment in any respect.
This article expresses a viewpoint that I believe is unfortunate, if not execrable.
I just wish that the nihilists would take themselves seriously and do the right thing.
Good idea, RIck. And maybe win a few Darwin awards along the way.
Perhaps . . .maybe
Say 17 to 30 years ago half the abortions were potential clients.
Just a thought.
