Equestrian statues

In the post Onward we stagger I suggested that the statue of William Darby on a motorcycle was essentially an equestrian statue, with the motorcycle replacing the horse. Here, and after the jump, are more conventional examples of equestrian statuary, with the rider mounted on a proper horse. Enjoy.

Sara writes about horses

Seven year old Sara wrote a blog post about horses. She talks about her horses, gives some good advice about how to get them ready to ride, and then some warnings about how not to get thrown, kicked or trampled by them.

Being born and raised in the city I don't know much about horses. Her post got me wondering... do horses bite? From the looks of the picture above I guess they do if they get mad enough.
