Paintings of trucks

These are paintings of trucks. New trucks, old trucks, abandoned trucks. Some are working trucks, some are personal vehicles.

I'm, always amused by Europeans who think large American pickup trucks are frivolous and ostentatious. They tow things, like the family boat, haul things, and can operate in bad weather and on suboptimal roads. They are much more utilitarian than they seem when spotted just sitting in a parking lot.

Beer, wine and liqueur trucks started out pretty functional, but it wasn't long before they got swept up in more modernistic looking styling. Of course it all looks delightfully retro to us.

It's a shame I could only find black and white pictures. I wonder what colors they were painted? I'm guessing they had pretty bright colors. There are more pictures after the jump.
