First they came for...

Thursday, March 30, 2006
Many thanks to Terrye for mentioning "first they came for" in a comment below.

Now, on to the task at hand which is exposing the Bush Administration for the Nazis they are!

First they came for the child pornographers and sexual predators
and I did not speak out
because I was not a child pornographer or sexual predator.

Then they came for the terrorists (you knew it was out there!)
and I did not speak out
because I was not a terrorist.

Then they came for the dictators
and I did not speak out
because I was not a dictator.

Then they came for traitors and seditionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a traitor or seditionist

Then they came for rogues in the intelligence community
and I did not speak out
because I was not a rogue in the intelligence community.

Then they came for me (Ok, so they're not here yet but you know its just a matter of time)
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

As a matter of truth in advertising he needs to append "for Common Idiots" to the name of his site.

Whenever I read the word 'progressive' any more I autonatically add 'ly dumber' in order to understand what follows. In this instance, even that isn't enough.

You liked that link, I can tell!

Only the radical left will see the criminal prosecution of the New York Times, in this particular instance, as an example of Bush's alleged Nazi tendencies. Most Americans will loudly cheer. My bet is that 65% of the population would approve.

I would get such a kick out of seeing the NYT prosecuted.

I'd never heard, or at least don't recall every hearing, about the Chicago Tribune thing re: JN-25 and I've read up on Enigma and codebreakers of WWII. That doesn't mean it wasn't mentioned, just that I don't read so good.
