I am all for poking holes in the myth of the allegedly wonderful Mahatma Gandhi. This man did enormous damage. Over a million people needlessly died because of his silliness. He may have been a virtuous human being---but his naiveté is beyond dispute. The citizens of India suffered greatly because of Gandhi’s contempt for Western values. Ultimately, one can present a strong argument that he was a nihilist.

Oh, I just thought it was funny. Didn't really care whose reputation it skewered.

I agree that Ghandi was not everything he's generally portrayed as having been.
